Lose weight, eat what you want!

Losing weight doesn’t always mean depriving yourself! We’ll show you how to lose weight by eating smart and without outlawing the foods you like. To get to the end of a diet, moments of pleasure are helpful. It’s not a matter of slipping up, but of improving your morale and learning to control your desires!

Eat what you like in reasonable amounts

A diet isn’t necessarily torture; otherwise, you’ll return to your bad habits as soon as it’s finished. Bear in mind that, even in a strict weight loss program, you can eat what makes you happy, just in small amounts.

One piece of chocolate cake won’t make you gain four pounds in one go! On the other hand, set limits and strive to abide by them if you want to keep enjoying your little indulgences. By allowing yourself these little pleasures, you stay motivated and keep your impulses in check.

Healthy eating: make it a way of life!

Allowing yourself a few lapses every now and then isn’t a problem as long as you eat a healthy and balanced diet the rest of the time, while an overly strict diet promotes stress and increases temptation. Consider that your reward for having been able to stick with a healthy diet.

You should also know how to organize your diet. Don’t skip meals to avoid being too hungry by the time lunch or dinner rolls around. Make sure you always eat light in the evening to limit your “unspent” calorie intake (during the day, you still have opportunities to move around, unlike in the evening), which will lead, over time, to weight gain.

Stay active, get moving!

Yes, it’s the same old story: exercise is essential to losing weight over the long term, as long as it’s done regularly and seriously! Exercise helps burn fat, tone muscles, AND reduce stress. The more effort you put in, the more you’ll resist unintentional snacking and the sight of a cupcake!

This is also the price to pay so you don’t deprive yourself of anything. During your weight loss program, you’ll feel less guilty if you move around a bit! Fitness, dance, jogging, tennis, volleyball… anything goes! The important thing is that you get some physical activity to burn off your extra energy. Want to eat some chocolate? Exercise!

Revisit your favourite foods

Are you a diehard fan of pizza or lemon meringue pie? Learn how to make them with less sugar and fat. There are many cooking sites and blogs that offer tips for reducing calories:

Replace your cooking oil or get a wok/frying pan that requires very little oil;

Choose a healthier cooking method (steam, grilling, cooking in water, etc.);

Add flavours to enhance the taste;

Only use light, low-calorie ingredients (learn to identify them), etc.

Nobody’s saying not to invite taste to the party; on the contrary, you’ll discover new flavours that may be even more delicious !

Pamper your body

This is very important: you should enjoy taking care of yourself. Obviously, a slimming cream or two body wrap sessions per month won’t make you lose 20 pounds, but it’s the idea of pampering your body that matters: it gives you a feeling of well-being and eliminates frustration and feelings of guilt that cause you to eat erratically (either too much or not at all; in both cases, it’s bad for your health and for your weight!). This good habit will comfort you during your weight loss program without depriving you. In addition, these products will give you healthy, silky skin!

Now, stop torturing yourself, and don’t forget that it all comes down to portion control!
